The Ten Least Expensive Homes for Sale in the Sunset District

View as Map

The Sunset District is the largest and most populous district in all of San Francisco, so let's take a look at the cheapest housing currently available for purchase. Inventory's healthy, and there are some real gems in this bunch. Unfortunately none of these properties qualify for our prestigious Under 500K Club, but that's mostly because all but two are single-family homes and not condos. That said, no home is listed for more than $750K. Ready to get this party started? The map's after the jump.

Asking price: $550K
Size: 3-bed, 2-bath, 1,211-square-foot single-family home
Price per square foot: $454
The skinny: This home has many strings attached. Only all cash buyer's offers will be considered, as the property does not qualify for a conventional loan. The home is also a major fixer-upper.

2415 47th Ave., Outer Parkside

Asking price: $568K
Size: 2-bed, 1-bath, 1,125-square-foot single-family home
Price per square foot: $505
The skinny: This home's been on the market a little over a month. Unfortunately no interior photos are shown, so we can't see what condition the interiors are in. That said, the listing mentions the same family owning it for over 30 years, and that it has great potential. Sounds like a fixer.

2446 19th Ave., Inner Parkside

Asking price: $625K
Size: 2-bed, 1-bath, 1,430 square foot single-family home/apartment building
Price per square foot: $437
The skinny: This home's a bit confusing, so we'd suggest doing some serious research before falling in love with it. It's listed as a single-family residence, but the listing tells us that "though a single family residence, property is divided into 3 rented units on the interior."

Size: 2-bed, 1-bath, 800 square foot single-family home

Size: 2-bed, 1-bath, 1,775 square foot single-family home
