Our gorgeous Bay Area has attracted many a camera, particularly many a video camera. We've been the backdrop for everything from Hitchcock movies to Dirty Harry movies, as well as television shows through the decades like Streets of San Francisco and Nash Bridges. The folks over at the Golden Gate National Parks Conservatory offer a nifty collection and we decided to put it in map form with a little extra information. For February, they've listed their top 10 favorite movies with scenes shot in San Francisco Bay Area parks. Visit the original blog for more information about each location and film, plus video clips—even a PG-13 clip from Dirty Harry and a gorgeous slow take of the Pacific Ocean cresting the cliffs at Sutro Baths from Harold and Maud. Did we miss a location or movie? Let us know in the comments!
