In fact, the owners of the region's most highly valued home, at least by the tax assessors, cough up more than $1 million every year in taxes. Real estate website Propertyshark compiled a list of properties from Marin down to Santa Clara county that have the highest taxes every year based on their assessed values. They are owned largely by tech moguls and CEOs, and many have sold within the past few years.
