It comes with a sweet piece of art

This Cole Valley home comes with an added bonus: a mural by niche artist fnnch painted on the facade. In 2018, the local artist graced the city with approximately 450 of his signature ursine images, riffs on the classic honey bottles. And this one, smack dab on the home’s exterior, is one of fnnch’s first.

“This is one of my earliest murals and is my second oldest extant honey bear mural,” says the artist. “I gave my blessing to the current owners to paint over it, but it’s much loved in the neighborhood (and by us), so we’re hoping the new owners want to keep it.”

And keep it the future homeowner should. It’s downright adorable. Speaking of adorable, get a load of the renovated jewel box home to which the mural is attached. Featuring two bedrooms and two bathrooms, 1154 Stanyan comes a wood-burning fireplace, a formal dining room, and a kitchen with large skylight.

Contemporary interiors make up the majority of the house’s 1,836 square feet, including new bathrooms with white soaking tubs, steel spiral staircase, in-wall audio, and a freshly landscaped patio.

The backyard also comes with a hot tub for those famously chilly Cole Valley nights.

Asking is $1,995,000; the listing is through Gregg Lynn of Sotheby’s International Realty San Francisco Brokerage.
