Should one think the San Francisco housing market is starting to chill ever so slightly, think again. A modest yet darling two-bedroom, one-bathroom home in Glen Park, which landed on the market for $1,295,000 on March 23, sold for $2,105,000.
That’s 62 percent over asking.
“Close to public transportation and with access to 280 and 101, this home, in this location, sparked excitement in the market from the start, drawing multiple offers in just 5 days, and selling for more than 60 percent over the list price,” says the home’s realtor, Denise Alter of Coldwell.
The abode is also located across the street from Glen Park Canyon, which made it even more alluring. The neighborhood, filled with tech elite, has been a hotbed of over-asking activity as of late.
Redfin estimated the home price at $1,568,220, well below the jaw-dropping sale price.
