Renovated San Rafael Eichler asks $1.49 million

Midcentury-modern keeps an eye on the past

Were one to pit Palo Alto Eichlers against San Rafael Eichlers, we’d give the advantage to the latter group. There’s a touch more variety, a bit more more intrigue in the midcentury-modern developer’s North Bay specimens. Take, for example, this choice example in the Lucas Valley neighborhood at 16 Mt Diablo Circle.

Featuring four beds, two baths, and 2,322 square feet, the gingerly renovated Eichler comes with globe lighting, vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and skylights. Newer elements include hardwood flooring and contemporary kitchen.

The most intriguing highlight here is the exterior’s A-frame covered parking, a theme that extends into the rest of the house. Beautiful.

Asking is $1,495,000.
