Preview of FOG Design+Art Fair happening this week

New, 2 comments

Whatever you thought you were doing this weekend, your plans have changed

San Francisco’s collectors, interior designers, design nerds, tech ilk, and socialites will gather at once place this week—the FOG Design+Art Fair at Fort Mason. Now in its fifth year, the annual showcase shines a light on design and art from the 20th and 21st centuries. It is the design event for the west coast.

Forty-five galleries and showrooms received a coveted spot at the showcase, including Hosfelt Gallery, Ratio 3, Jessica Silverman Gallery, and Gagosian, just to name a few.

Also of note, this festival is an Instagramer’s paradise. Think Museum of Ice Cream but far more epic and erudite.

For example, last year’s FOG featured a massive floral piece done by local designer and steering committee member Stanlee Gatti. He will create yet another piece for 2018, so expect to see it pop up on your social media feeds over the weekend.

The 2018 FOG Design+Art fair runs from Thursday, January 10 through Sunday, January 14 at the Fort Mason Festival Pavilion. Tickets are $25 online, $30 at the door.

And now, here’s a preview of the art and designs you will see at this year’s festival:
