“A celebration of diversity”

The 47th annual Pride Parade and March begins at 10:30 a.m. today. The parade starts at Market and Beale streets and ends at Market and Eighth. If you cannot make it to the Sunday morning festivities, where more than 240 contingents will proceed down Market Street to the cheers of tens of thousands of well wishes, you can see it live here.

This year’s theme, “a Celebration of Diversity,” will also have another added element—resistance. In lieu of the Dykes on Bikes contingent starting the parade, a resistance-themed protest contingent will lead today’s march.

After the parade, people will gather at Civic Center to dance, mingle, and celebrate queer San Francisco.

Also of note, there will be many street closures and Muni reroutes happening today. People who want to catch the parade IRL are strongly encouraged to take public transportation.

And now, via SFGate, catch the San Francisco Pride Parade in all of its glory.

We're live at the 47th annual Pride parade!
