Earth Day is coming up, folks. And with that comes a spirit—nay, a duty to get involved in making San Francisco a better place to live. From making calls to your legislators and recycling electronic equipment at an e-waste center to joining your neighborhood board or starting a free mini library, there are scores of ways to help make your city an even better place to call home.
This is where you come in.
What we want from you, readers, is to submit ideas for things to do on Earth Day and beyond, ways to clean/beautify your city all the time, or any specific environmental action you take that makes a real difference.
Be it a daily routine (e.g., obeying traffic laws, riding a bike) or a larger project (opening up a garden, volunteering with the San Francisco office of civic engagement & immigrant affairs), get at us in the comments with your favorite way(s) to get involved.
Please submit ideas in the comments with images. We’ll round up the best ones for a separate post on Friday.
