San Francisco's cheapest house is this Excelsior District fire-damaged home

It’s asking $499,000

While a 2015 fire in San Francisco Excelsior’s District resulted in no injures, it did displace residents and ruin this 1916 home at 167 Maynard. Two years later, the house is on the market asking $499,000.

This makes it the lowest priced single-family home in San Francisco. (However, there are a couple of houses asking lower, but those fall under the BMR umbrella.)

Featuring three beds, one bath, and 1,400 square feet, the blaze made its way throughout the entirely on the property. What remains will have to be entirely demolished and rebuilt from the ground up.

The asking price here is comparable to the former titleholder at 218 Grafton in Ingleside, which landed on the market in January for $499,000. It sold two weeks later over asking for $762,000.
