The Garage on Hyde Street in Russian Hill was just that, a parking garage built in the 1920s. But in 2013, the industrial space transformed into an unabashedly contemporary residence, boasting seven habitable units and one commercial space, developed by Willis+Co and architects Luke Ogrydziak and Zoe Prillinger of Ogrydziak/Prillinger Architects.

Today a rare offering inside the Garage has landed on the market.

Featuring two beds and two baths, unit #2 comes with 14' high exposed concrete ceilings, blackened steel braces, and modern sculptural forms. Its hat tip to geometry and cohesive vision puts today’s contemporary redesigns to shame. It even won the 2015 AIA Merit Award for design excellence.

HOAs come to $1,265/month. Asking is $4,285,000.
