Below, check out San Francisco’s coolest festive shopping events, featuring everything from Heath Ceramics to artisan food to handmade jewelry. The following holiday happenings feature local designers, artists, and makers—Amazon and Target have nothing on the locally-made gems found inside these markets.
Week of December 4
Make Good Market
Over 25 of our Heath Ceramics’ designer/maker friends (including the Heath Sews Studio and Heath Clay Studio) will offer an array of locally-crafted goodies, from woodworking to leather painting and candy-making to clay throwing.
When: December 9 and 10; Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Women X Made
Locally made apparel and jewelry, and home goods all created by female-owned businesses in the Bay Area. This event will take place inside the historic Women's Building in the Mission.
When: Saturday, December 9; noon-6 p.m.

California Academy of Sciences NightLife Holiday Bazaar
Each gift here is curated by SF Bazaar. Great finds here will include scientific illustrations by Sean Edgerton and Rachel Diaz-Bastin, handmade jewelry, ceramics and pottery, apothecary products, and stationery. Don’t forget to take a few laps around the center’s new outdoor ice skating rink.

City Hall Pop-up Shop for the Holidays
More than 40 San Francisco businesses will showcase products crafted by local artists and designers at San Francisco City Hall. Mayor Ed Lee will even make an appearance.

Week of December 11
Holiday Shopping Celebration at Avenues Dry Goods
Outer Sunset sensation Avenues Dry Goods’ annual one-day sale event will feature, among a sundry of assorted goods, mulled cider and holiday cookies. But that’s not all! They will have: $10 off all Avenues Dry Goods t-shirts, 50 percent off all potted plants, 25 percent off all driftwood air plant planters, 25 percent off all of ADG's upcycled apparel, 25 percent off all holiday cards and wrapping paper, and more.
Locals will love the new Ocean Beach bandanas and Sasicrafts ceramics.

SFMade Holiday Gift Fair
Now in its seventh year, SFMade offers a pop-up market with offerings from more than 70 makers. And as the name suggests, the makers are all based in San Francisco. Look for bags, home goods, apparel, jewelry, gastronomic treats, body care items, art, and more.
When: Sunday, December 17, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

UndiscoveredSF Holiday Pop-Up
An underground nighttime market boasting a collection of the Bay Area’s most creative vendors, food purveyors, and musical acts.
When: Saturday, December 16; noon to 8 p.m.
