You think double-parking Uber drivers are bad? Feast your eyes on the melee and confusion happening over at the Tesla Factory parking lot. At least according to an Instagram account, helmed by an anonymous Tesla Factory employee, the Fremont employee lot it’s a piping hot mess of perpendicular parking, boxed-in cars, and other sorts of stationary vehicular tomfoolery.
Apparently, the company has too many employees and too few spots. According to the SF Chronicle, “The lot appears to have too few spaces for the number of employees working at the factory. Employees routinely flout parking prohibitions and apparently view the painted lines defining spaces as suggestions, not hard-and-fast rules.”
Everything from BMWs hogging two spaces and sidewalk parking to nasty notes and dirty windshield sketches of male genitalia, the employees at Elon Musk’s esteemed car manufacturing company turn deliriously juvenile in the parking lot.
Hopefully, this spatial issue will no longer be a problem once Tesla opens their Gigafactory in Storey County, Nevada.
Until then, here are some of our favorite scenes at the Tesla Factory parking lot. Enjoy.
