Pacific Heights Victorian, complete with period details, asks $2.6 million

Swoon!

What a sunny bowl full of joy to come across a circa 1900 Victorian in tony Pacific Heights only to discover that—quelle surprise—it hasn’t fallen victim to an antiseptic renovation. And that’s exactly what you will find at 2407 Sacramento.

Which is not to say that it hasn’t been mercifully updated as of late. Coming in at three beds, two baths, and 2,149 square feet, this two-story detached home features new hardwood flooring and updated kitchen and bathrooms. And do take note of the terrace with views of Sutro Tower and the nearby Pacific.

But the real treat here is the intact Victorian design—ceiling medallions, crown moldings, and perhaps most interesting, a composite caryatid (i.e., a figure of a woman used as a column) with a lion’s claw on the fireplace. Fascinating albeit bizarre Victorian touch.

Asking is $2,695,000.
