Under $700K Club: 1940s Excelsior Home Hits Market at Only $695,000

Behold the new cheap

Alas, we had to do away with Curbed SF's popular Under 500K Club series because the well for anything listed at $500,000 or under has all but dried up. And with that, we raise the price point and introduce the refurbished $700K Club, showcasing the properties in San Francisco (and beyond) with an asking price of 700,000 smackers or under.

Today's find: a 1940s streamline modern at 1127 Russian Avenue with remnants of art deco, right in the heart of the Excelsior. This two bedroom, one bath home comes in at 962 square feet. The facade is a jewel blue tone that we insist stays put; it is far too gorgeous of a color, to mess with, folks.

Other highlights include a basement ripe with possibilities, a skylight above the kitchen, a fireplace, and a lush backyard shrouded in privacy via some kick-ass flora.

Asking price starts out at $695,000. (But will certainly fetch more.)
