Crocker Amazon House Asks $1.049M, Markets to Priced Out Buyers

The real estate listing unsubtly markets to people looking for a Noe Valley alternative

The house at 55 Newton Street in Crocker Amazon is what could be called a "light" flip. It's all new, but it retains something of the 1926 character of the home.

It's also calling out to buyers who are priced out of neighborhoods like Noe Valley, Glen Park, and Bernal Heights. As the listing frames it, this is "an unexpected find and a welcome alternative to higher-priced neighborhoods." It's pretty certain that this freshly remodeled home with 2,200 square feet, four bedrooms, and three baths would bring a higher sale price in a neighborhood to the north.

As it is, this barrel-front house offers a nice kitchen with ceruse cabinets, a breakfast bar, and a office/workspace. Downstairs, there's a family room/media room with a wet bar — it opens to a landscaped backyard.

Time will tell if looks and price will attract the buyer they are looking for.
