Apparently, back in 2013, a lot of developers purchased homes and got to work making large, modern houses. It can take two or three years to cultivate a major remodel, and now it's time to harvest. We are seeing a bumper crop of mega flips hitting the market, and one of the latest is 662 Hampshire Street.
Back in 2013, the house was a three-bedroom, two-bathroom home that measured 1,604 square feet; and it sold for $725,000. It's back on the market as a three-bedroom, three-and-a-half bath dwelling that weighs in at 3,350 square feet; and it's asking for $3.295 million.
The new house is light, bright, and has wide open spaces and large windows (many of them stretching from the floor to the ceiling). With sleek lines and concrete floors, it's very modern.
The other notable aspect is the deck space. There's over 1,000 square feet of deck area, including a large rooftop deck with views and decks off the kitchen and the master bedroom.
The listing describes the house as bringing "the New York style of living to the West Coast." To us, it's very San Francisco 2016.
