The West Portal neighborhood is not known for modern homes, but there's a new flip on the block. The house at 109 Forest Side Avenue is rebuilt with the modern details popular in recently renovated houses, and it appears to be the most contemporary house on this section of the street.
The house was built in 1922, and we are willing to bet it was smaller in those days. In its latest incarnation it's a three-story home with four bedrooms and four and a half baths.
The main living level has a open living room, dining room, and kitchen. It's marked by a large, flat fireplace with a marble surround. The marble is repeated in the dining room, where a wet bar has the same stone backing the glass shelves above it.
Downstairs, there's a family room with another fireplace (surrounded by marble, naturally). There's also a bedroom and full bath. This level was likely a new addition that helps boost the home's size to 3,200 square feet.
The listing promises that the three bedrooms on the upper level have "great views." We don't see the evidence, but this neighborhood, the photoshoot could have happened on a foggy day.
