330-Unit Residential Tower Proposed Near Transbay District

New, 8 comments

Yet another tall, glassy tower has just been proposed for the booming Transbay District. Right now, a five-story office building sits at 95 Hawthorne Street, but new plans just submitted call for a 320-foot, 32-story residential tower with 330 units. There would also be 250 parking spots, terraces on the first and second floors, and a roof deck. Retail would front Folsom Street.

The tower would fall under the Central SoMa Plan expected to be finalized this year. The plan drastically increases height limits in the area up to the proposed 320-foot level. The developer attached to the application is Trammell Crow Residential, a major Dallas-based player with developments in 11 states. This would be the company's first project in San Francisco. Early renderings are from popular architects Skidmore Owings & Merrill.
