Handel Architects-designed Rowan is hard to miss. Its zigzag exterior frame and unabashedly contemporary presence won’t be ignored. And an affordable (?) unit inside this sleek beast has landed on the market.
Listed as featuring one bath and one bedroom, a separate room off the entrance could be used as a small second bedroom. The floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall windows look out onto a parking lot, but hey, it’s in the prized Mission. And the view of Sutro is inspiring.

Other amenities of note are the 3,250 square foot roof deck, a zen garden, large lobby with attendant, and should the munchies strike come midnight, there’s a 24-hour McDonald’s next door. To each their own.
Glenn Rescalvo of Handel Architects, who conceived Rowan, also designed the Pacific.
Asking is $772,000.
