666 has never looked more angelic

Crown Towers is as famous for its facade’s color (Downing Street red) as it is its Satan-inspired address (666 Post). But more than anything else, it’s a downright drop dead gorgeous structure. The Tendernob art deco/Gothic building is what many of us think of when we think os San Francisco. And with that, a recently renovated unit has opened up on the 12th floor.

Featuring one bed, one bath, and approximately 775 square feet, it comes with hardwood floors, wood-burning fireplace, beamed ceilings, walls of windows, and signature arched doorways.

Built in 1925, the John C. Hladik-designed Crown Towers opened up as a space for men seeking a pied-a-terre near the gentlemen’s-only clubs of the time (e.g., the Bohemian Club, the Olympic Club).

HOAs come to $670/month. Asking is $749,000.
