Renovated Dutch Colonial in Outer Sunset asks $1.6 million

1912 gem receives dramatic makeover

While one must wonder what gorgeous interiors lurked inside the original layout, this Dutch Colonial Revival in the Outer Sunset received a slick makeover before landing on the market this week.

Adorable facade, to say the least.

The downright charming facade belies the contemporary interiors ready to surprise you inside. Coming in at three beds and four baths, the house at 1255 42nd Avenue offers a formal dining room with box-beam ceilings, a breakfast bar, new patio deck, and (fittingly enough) views of the Murphy Windmill.

Though some of its old details can still be found in the iron window detailing. But still, a contemporary renovation through and through. (Staging by Candace Griffin of Design Milagro.)

Last sold in 2004 for $785,000, it’s now asking $1,675,000.
