Scenes from the Dreamforce extravaganza in Yerba Buena

Welcome, attendees/partygoers!

Beating out OracleWorld as the convention to attend along Yerba Buena’s Howard Street stretch between Third and Fourth, Salesforce’s answer to Larry Ellison’s annual fete has turned into quite the scene.

This year’s bash, located outside the Moscone Center, featured speaking engagements from Melinda Gates and Tony Robbins to other curiosities as a walking meditation hosted by monks.

Also, don’t even think of driving anywhere near the convention as traffic will be hellish. And should you want to crash one of their many parties, Broke-Ass has you covered.

Anyway, what’s really interesting is how the city of San Francisco is able to transform and accommodate a spot of city space into a tiny villages. If you consider 170,000 attendees small, that is. Here are some scenes from this week’s Dreamforce now in progress.

Salesforce presence in the city is stronger than ever, especially with the advent of the upcoming Salesforce Tower, poised to be the tallest building in San Francisco.

Also of note, a massive stage has been set up outside the Cow Palace for a U2 concert. Company founder Marc Benioff tweeted out a taste of tonight’s show.
