Open thread: What’s the worst intersection in San Francisco?

New, 7 comments

A burning question (or an idling one?)

There are a lot of things to love about living in San Francisco. And then there’s the layout of certain streets.

Sometimes it’s the hills. Sometimes it’s the way two grids smash together at Market Street. Sometimes it’s those forced right turns (paved with the rage of Mission Street merchants).

Whatever the reason, there are some points of some San Francisco roadways that simply send drivers into the red. Or maybe leave them idling far from it.

But although the streets are technically set in stone, or at least in asphalt, they are not immutable. So if you had the power to force City Hall to change, rearrange, reroute, shut down, open up, or in any other way customize any meeting of two or more San Francisco streets, what would it be?
