Lombard Street, San Francisco's famous crooked street, is often choked with tourists and traffic (although it's closed to cars on the weekend); even so, many consider it one of the most desirable places to live in the city. After all, what is more San Francisco? The two-level condo at 1055 Lombard is located at the apex of one of those often-photographed curves, and for that privileged of placement, it's asking $1,995,000.
For such a picturesque setting, the exterior is rather plain. But here, the scenery is the scene-stealer. From the inside of the two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath unit, you can glimpse another city landmark (Coit Tower) from the upper terrace. There are two of these outdoor spaces and both are surrounded by a lush, tropical-style garden.
The sinuous street shapes are mirrored on the inside, with a circular staircase and a half-moon shaped kitchen island. Perhaps those interior curves inspired the listing's writer to use the word "sexy" twice in the home's description; but we are guessing the bathrooms that are equipped with "mood lighting" had something to do with that as well.
