Pricechopper

When the grand old home at 22 22nd Avenue in the Lake District came on the market back in July, it had big $6.995 million expectations. The house needed some updates, but fixer-uppers tend to be worth their weight in gold in San Francisco, so the $1,076 per square foot price didn't seem unreasonable. The beautifully-boned house hasn't sold and just took a major $745,000 price cut to land at $6.25 million. Here's hoping that it will find a new owner who can appreciate the neighborhood's "friendly neighbors, potluck dinners and block parties" that the brokerbabble so quaintly advertises.
