Barry Zito Strikes Out, Sells Marin Mansion Under Asking Price

New, 1 comment

The San Francisco Business Times reports that Barry Zito, formerly of the San Francisco Giants and currently a pitcher in the Oakland A's organization, has sold his Kentfield mansion for $8.15 million. He purchased the property for $8.863 million, so it wasn't a giant loss for the three-time, All-Star pitcher.
However, given that Zito listed the property for $11.495 million in 2012, he was obviously hoping for more. A year later, the price was dropped to $9.775 million—and since the gated, two-acre estate contains a 7,116-square-foot Mediterranean style manse with stunning views, the new price probably wasn't considered too off base.
