We realize that the exact location of the center of the universe is a subjective thing; but would anyone object to saying that a home located at 981 Dolores St. and within steps of Noe Valley, the Mission District, Muni, Bart, and Dolores Park is an arguably fantastic place to live? Suffice it to say the walk score is 96.
And there's more to this place than location. The condo is on the lower level of a Victorian building with a lovely, ornate facade. Once inside, you'll find a 1,405-square-foot home with 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, and much of the original molding in place (check out that beautifully framed bay window). True, one of the bedrooms is the back half of a double parlor (a common condition in SF's Painted Ladies) and the larger bath and kitchen have features that some might consider remodel worthy. But with a listing price under $1.2 million (which, given the red-hot location, could be considered a suggestion), high ceilings, a garage, and an in-unit laundry, we are paying attention. No doubt many would-be buyers are as well.
