Campus Life

San Francisco State is aiming to expand its campus by adding a new "main street" that will hold up to 1,000 new beds alongside new retail space. Although it has a history as a commuter school, San Francisco State has seen the amount of students wanting to live on campus more than double over the past 10 years. The university has invited four private developers to submit proposals, and intends to choose a finalist by the end of the year and start construction in 2017. [SF Chronicle]
