Very Tiny (and Sleek) Mid-Market Loft Lists for a Mere $375K

New, 8 comments

With decrepit teardowns asking $1.599M and and beat-up duplexes fetching $2.35M (double its initial ask), it's clear that finding a decent condo for under $500K and without strings attached in this town is the equivalent of seeing a unicorn ... wearing a couture Chanel gown. That said, here's your unicorn in a couture Chanel gown. This studio loft in the landmark Book Concern Building in the Civic Center/Mid-Market areas just plopped onto the market asking $375K. The very tiny unit doesn't list square footage, but it's clear from the photos that it's pretty tiny. Also clear from the photos is its severe lack of a decent view. The soaring wall of windows—which are the only windows in the loft—look directly onto a wall that's so close you could probably touch it. Monthly HOA dues are $310; there's no parking but building amenities include a club room, laundry facilities (coin operated), roof deck, and gym. · 83 McAllister St #111 [Redfin]
