What $3,800/Month Rents You in San Francisco

New, 3 comments

Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what one can rent for a set dollar amount in various San Francisco neighborhoods. Is one man's studio another man's townhouse? Let's find out! Today's price: $3,800.

↑ Do check out this three-bedroom, two-bathroom flat in the Outer Sunset if a big apartment is what you require. While square footage isn't listed, it's obvious from the photos that this place is expansive. Other perks include gleaming hardwood floors throughout, what appears to be a good amount of natural light, a skylight in the recently remodeled kitchen, and a location just half a block from Golden Gate Park. Laundry's in the unit, but parking isn't included and pets aren't allowed. It's $3,800/month.

↑ In a historic warehouse conversion building in SoMa, $3,795/month gets you a one-bed, two-bath loft. Property highlights include stainless steel appliances in the spacious kitchen, varnished concrete floors on the main floor, a Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom, and a fireplace. There's laundry in the unit and parking for your vehicle, but sadly no pets are allowed.

↑ Tucked into a hillside in Cole Valley is a community of 13 townhouses. One's up for rent for $3,800. It's a two-bedroom, one-bathroom, three-level townhouse with its own deck and garage. Other perks include a bonus room that's currently used as an office, vaulted ceilings, numerous skylights, and in-unit laundry. Sorry, no pets.

↑ A pretty adorable one-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage in Glen Park is on the rental market for $3,700/month. It's also really close to BART and the 280 freeway, should you need a quick escape from the neighborhood (or just an easy commute to work). It's a fully detached home that's approximately 750 square feet. There's laundry in the unit and a landscaped (shared) yard out back. No pets or parking.

↑ A bock from Lands End in the Central Richmond is a 1,200-square-foot single-family home for $3,860/month. The two-bedroom, one-bathroom abode boasts a working (and quite beautiful) fireplace, architectural details throughout, and hardwood flooring. There's also a big backyard with "great potential." Pets are OK, and laundry and parking are included.
