A proposed group-housing building complex at 145 Leavenworth and 361 Turk streets in the Tenderloin has been approved by Planning. The project will bring 231 new units—most of them market-rate 250-square-foot rentals. Some changes to the original proposal have been made, including the provision of space for several below-market-rate units that will be larger than the market-rate group-housing rooms. Developer Forge Land Company hasn't put a timeline in place for construction but has promised to remain in close communication with Tenderloin community members.
