SFBARF, the pro-building activist group, has launched a Tilt campaign to raise $82,000 to fund its operations, political advocacy, and media outreach. Why $82,000? That's the amount Supervisor David Campos raised from developers during his State Assembly run, according to an SFBARF member's analysis of publicly available campaign records. "Since we always get hassled for being astroturf, I thought it would be funny to reference Campos' income from developers," SFBARF founder Sonja Trauss said in an email to Curbed. "Everyone gets $$ from developers, land use interests finance all of SF politics, like internet porn drives innovations in online payments processing." [Tilt; Curbed inbox]
