A mini-park in Bernal Heights is suffering from severe termite damage, and the public works department has deemed the trellis and planter boxes a safety hazard. (For the unschooled, Esmeralda Park is a scenic overlook with an awesome slide alternative to the usual staircase; if you see people ambling around Bernal with dusty butts, that's why.)
