When it landed on the market back in 2012, the poised Georgian eight-bedroom at 2950 Vallejo Street was looking for a hefty $19.5 million. For years the property has been holding down the midlist of the top 25 most expensive homes for sale in San Francisco, and at some point the price came down to $16.995 million. Last week, the house officially changed hands for a smidge less—$16.76 million, to be exact—according to the MLS. Built in 1927, the property sits east of the Vallejo Street cul-de-sac, in a part of Pacific Heights the brokerbabble assures us "is considered on par if not superior to Broadway's Gold Coast due to the enclave of fine residences on a quiet dead end street." We can't confirm this, but the views from the brokerbabble's very lofty pedestal are duly breathtaking.
