Market Rules

The city's busiest boulevard is about to get a little less hectic as new regulations limiting vehicles—including Uber cars—on Market Street go into effect. The changes, which were approved yesterday and will take effect in August, will keep drivers from turning onto Market Street between Eighth and Third and extend transit-only lanes between those blocks. Taxis will still be allowed on Market, but ride-share vehicles will be banned, a restriction that caused an outcry from Uber. [SFGate]
