Passersby have noticed the Airstream trailer sitting on a rooftop on Turk near Taylor in the Tenderloin for years, but details about how it ended up there were scarce. Hoodline investigated the mysterious trailer and found that it was put up on the roof of 132 Turk in 2009 as a construction trailer during renovations of the building. The Airstream belongs to the building's owner, David Nale, who used to travel around the country in it with his grandparents as a child and has also taken it to Burning Man several times.
