Google lawyer Jack Halprin became a symbol of Mission gentrification when he began Ellis Act eviction proceedings against the tenants of his 812 Guerrero Street building, and now a judge has ruled that Halprin failed to pay required relocation fees to some of the renters. The judge's ruling means that the tenants can stay for now and that Halprin can either appeal the decision or start the eviction process over again. [Previously; Beyond Chron]
