Over the weekend, fliers went up around the Mission announcing an open casting call for 94110, a drama about six tech execs "living, learning, and loving together in San Francisco's Mission District." A few cues—notably, no preference for novice actors' age, race, or gender, and auditions held at a Tenderloin art gallery—had some observers sniffing satire, though an unnamed producer reached by Uptown Almanac fielded the site's queries with a (mostly?) straight face—if anyone can utter the phrase "Mark Zuckerberg fan fiction" without cracking. SFAQ, the popup performance space holding auditions, seems to be going all in, however. [Uptown Almanac; SFAQ]
