A lot has changed for the big home at 2939 Vallejo Street since it last sold for $9.5 million back in 2010. The house went through a major renovation led by design and development firm Artthaus (with Shamir Shah Design) involving everything from putting in a new kitchen to installing a brand-new dumbwaiter to run from the garage to the second floor. The house, which sits on a quiet cul-de-sac half a block from the Lyon Street steps, is now as sleek and modern as a big old Pacific Heights home can be. There are all the signature touches of a fancy renovation, from the built-in cabinetry to the trendy light fixtures (some of which, sadly, are not included in the sale) and glass-enclosed wine room.
The house includes five bedrooms, six and a half bathrooms, and two offices in its expansive space. There's a landscaped terrace out back, but it is fairly narrow and doesn't offer much outdoor living space. Of course, the Presidio, which offers endless outdoor space, is right down the street. The lower level is entirely new since the last sale and adds a second family room, a guest suite, and the wine room. The vacant lot next door at 2921 Vallejo was included in the 2010 sale but doesn't seem to be on offer this time around.
