Over in Walnut Creek's Rancho San Miguel Eichler neighborhood, a remodeled Eichler has landed on the market seeking $830K—which is starting to sound like the going rate for well-kept Eichlers in Walnut Creek. [UPDATE: An earlier version of this article referred to the home as a courtyard Eichler because of an error in the property listing. The post has been edited to reflect that this is not the case.] This four-bed, two-bath specimen has a redone (but not over-the-top) kitchen with an electric stovetop and laminate counters, plus a set of those all-important globe lights. The bathrooms, however, got a decidedly contemporary makeover, with bright mosaic tile and glass showers. The fireplace is natural brick, the wood-plank ceilings are white, and the bedrooms are carpeted (did they have to go with carpet tile for the office, though?).
