For a few months now, the future of the shuttered McDonald's at 600 Van Ness has been like a mystery wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a McRib. Now there's a rumor swirling that the site owner is exploring putting up a mixed-use building featuring residences over a boutique hotel and 16,000 square feet of retail (a Burger King?).
