Back in October 2013, a rather homely four-bedroom in Noe—think stuffed plaid armchairs, coral paint, and lacy curtains—changed hands for $1.725 million. Flippers went to work on a major overhaul that replaced the wood floors (and the admittedly sad bedroom carpet) with the blond wood stuff, opened up walls, and turned the backyard into a geometric showpiece. The heavily made-over abode recently relisted seeking a whopping $3.025 $4.75 million, more than two and a half times its last sale price. Focal points include a modern, starbursty chandelier and, on the staircase, a tall plate-glass wall that wouldn't look out of place in an Apple Store.
