Off-Campus Housing

Now rising in Menlo Park is a 394-unit apartment complex partly financed by Facebook and curiously named Anton Menlo, which itself sounds like a posh (but possibly sketchy?) Suggested Friend. Meanwhile, the social network has suggested creating thousands more new housing units near its campus. As the company prepares to open a new Frank-Gehry designed building with room for as many as 2,800 new workers, it has been in early-stage talks with Menlo Park officials about building new residences on the 56-acre former Prologis campus that it purchased last month. There is also talk of constructing 1,500 housing units for interns on the company's current campus. [Mercury News]
