$3.2M Home in Forest Hill Extension Channels Tahoe, Morocco

New, 1 comment

Tucked up against a wooded backdrop in Forest Hill Extension is a home that feels, especially from the outside, more like a Tahoe getaway house than a city dwelling. A mountain theme has spread to some of the indoor decor, most notably in stone-covered design elements in the kitchen and around the living room fireplace. However, other parts of the house's interior diverge into the bizarre. One bathroom feels Arabian Nights inspired, with Moroccan tiled walls and a fancy light fixture. A swirling design crafted from metal also recurs around the home, from the main staircase to window coverings.

The four-bedroom, four-bathroom home, which was built in 1960, just came on the market asking $3.2 million. It last sold for $1.1 million way back in 2002. The new owners will almost certainly want to keep some elements, like the back deck with views out to the Pacific and high-end appliances in the chef's kitchen. Others, however, like the coral-colored walls in one of the bedrooms, will probably be on their way out.
