Last Week's Biggest Sales: Climbing Back Above $3M

Listed for: $3.495M
Received: $3.375M
Size: 4-bed, 3-bath, 2,365-square-foot co-op
Location: 1000 North Point St #1801, Russian Hill
The skinny: This penthouse in the Fontana East building last changed hands for $2.995 million in May of 2013. The 18th-floor unit sports a wraparound balcony and views that, per the brokerbabble, "evoke the feeling of being aboard a grand ocean liner," if a grand ocean liner were a Russian Hill co-op. The HOA dues are a sizable $2,838/month.

Listed for: $2.995M
Received: $3.1M
Size: 3-bed, 3-bath, 2,225-square-foot condo
Location: 170 Pacific Ave, #9, Financial District
The skinny: This condo at the Golden Gateway was gone in a flash: It listed in February 6, went into contract on the 12th, and was signed and sold in under two weeks. The brokerbabble touts a two-story foyer and lots o' windows, with an overlook into Sydney G. Walton Park.

Listed for: $1.995M
Received: $2.61M
Size: 3-bed, 3-bath, 2,050-square-foot single-family home
Location: 336 Avila, Marina
The skinny: This Marina property is the only single-family home of the bunch. It's got gleaming wood floors and a tiled fireplace, though the kitchen looks like its last remodel was done sometime around the late 90s. We generally like the home's spacious, light-filled vibe, though there's also a blah carpeted room on the garden level that the staging team's cowhide-rug artistry is totally lost on.
