SoMa may soon gain an LGBTQ-themed public space at 12th and Harrison dubbed Eagle Plaza, after the neighboring Eagle Tavern. According to the folks at SFist, preliminary plans for the plaza include pavers in the colors of the leather pride flag and benches that double as monkey bars. Developer Build Inc is behind the project, and—judging from the logos on the preliminary drawings—Gehl Studio and UP are involved in the design. [Eagle Plaza; SFist]
