The fairytale-worthy mansion at 2701 Broadway sold for $31 million back in May with a price just beating out the $30 million penthouse at 2006 Washington to be the most expensive sale of the year so far. Now, as 2015 draws to a close, the 2701 Broadway sale can officially be proclaimed the year's biggest. The seven-bedroom, 16,000-square foot manse has two family rooms, two offices, three rooftop terraces and an indoor basketball court.
The second most expensive sale of the year was the tenth-floor co-op at 2006 Washington, establishing a new record for a condo in San Francisco. The building has been called the best in San Francisco. With just 5,400 square feet of space, the per-square price was a mindboggling $5,555.
