San Francisco's Loveliest Rental Looks for $4,500/Month

These days, $4,500 per month isn't a shocking amount to pay for a one-bedroom, even if the median price for an apartment of that size has slipped down to $3,500. What is shocking is to find an apartment in San Francisco that is as lovely as this Lower Nob Hill unit in the Marchbank Building. From the carefully painted molding to the elegant fireplace and the big bay window, everything about this place is special.

It comes fully furnished, and even the window seat that sits before elegant stained glass has been carefully curated. The kitchen has marble countertop and stainless steel appliances (no chipped '70s-era finishings here) and even linens, dishes and cutlery are included. There are also two full bathrooms, including one with a soaking tub. What isn't included is any parking, but given the very central Lower Nob Hill location, a car shouldn't be required. Of course, that location also means that the renter will be a mere block from the madness of the Tenderloin.
