At one time, the house at 29 Dorland St. was the most expensive house on the market in the Mission, asking for $5.5 million. After a price cut, its new ask was $4.995 million. It sold yesterday for $4.8 million. We've written about the house since it went on the market as a fixer with remodel plans, back when it was priced at $2.4 million. After the remodel, it was transformed into a four-story home with an elevator and six-car garage.
The new look came with a wall of glass that opens to the backyard, designer finishes, and luxe touches (read: pizza oven in the backyard). We liked the space, but some of our readers did not, commenting: "I guess bland and generic are in."
